Shanti Yoga Studio is proud to introduce 250-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT).


YTT takes place over 11 months, starting January 28, 2012. This training has been approved by the Yoga Alliance and will provide an opportunity for you to teach yoga worldwide. You will be able to apply to become a member of the Yoga Alliance.

Only 12 students will be invited to participate in this training.


As a part of the program we will cover the following topics:
-Asana, Teaching Methodology, Yoga Therapy,
-Meditation, Sanskrit, Chanting,
-Anatomy, Physiology, Ayurveda and Yoga Philosophy.
You will receive a Certificate upon satisfactory completion of all courses.
During the eleven months, we will meet once a month on Saturday and Sunday. We will also meet every Wednesday evening, from 7:15 to 9 pm. And you are required to attend at least one yoga class a week through the studio, which is included in the fee of the program. For people from out of town, alternate arrangements will be made, in terms of Wed. nights and a weekely yoga class.

The course will include the following topics:

  • Asana, Assisting and Teaching Methodologies
  • Yoga History, Philosophy, Ethics and Lifestyle
  • Yoga Anatomy and Physiology
  • Personal Practice, Assisting in Classes, Teaching Practice
  • A deep look at yourself, your triggers and your current challenges in life

Note: In order to gain experience, assisting opportunities will be presented, as well as supervised teaching opportunities.


Payment: Full cost is $2800 plus HST = $3164

  • $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your space (only 12 people will be accepted)
  • $2664 at the start of the course OR
  • 3 payments of $938 paid on January 28, March 24 and May 26.
